Checklist Libra is new software that plans weekly activity and capacity for the NHS 18 week Referral to Treatment waiting time.

Libra’s functionality includes:

• Activity planning: Libra calculates how much activity (outpatient, diagnostic and admitted) to do week by week over the next three months.
• Waiting time planning: Libra shows what the waiting times will be for any given level of activity or capacity.
• Waiting list charts: Libra shows what the waiting lists will look like week by week so you can see at a glance whether there will be 18 week breaches at any point in time over the next three months
• Emergency demand: Libra works out how fluctuations in emergency demand will affect elective capacity, activity and waiting times.
• Capacity planning: Libra plans the clinic, bed and theatre capacity needed week by week and compares it with the capacity available. It allows for changes (such as consultant holidays) and shows the effect on waiting times.
• Capacity charts: Libra uses charts to show what the capacity surplus or shortfall will be each week for the next three months.
• Scenario planning: Libra will run as many scenarios as you want (covering demand, activity, performance, capacity and waiting times) and combine them in any way – all at the click of a mouse.
• Automatic data loading: Libra loads all the data automatically.
