The 18 week
wait
Checklist will show you what you have to do in
each specialty to achieve an overall waiting time
of 18 weeks. It will calculate:
- by how much you need to reduce your existing
inpatient, outpatient and diagnostic waiting
lists;
- the effect on inpatient and diagnostic demand
of reducing outpatient lists;
- the additional capacity you will need taking
into account any growth in demand of the elective
services and also of the emergency work that
could squeeze the electives out.
